 WPCNA Meeting Minutes

Minutes of the Meetings The December Holiday/Election Meeting was held at Education House, 5 Homeside Ln, White Plains, NY on Tuesday, December 13, 2011. After a Holiday buffet several association delegates spoke.
  • Nancy Giges,(Hillair Circle) asked for volunteers to help develop residential leaf composting/mulching for White Plains.
  • Bob Meyerson (Haviland Manor) spoke about Kids Kloset which is in a Stilman Management building in Post Road.
  • Midge Sanchez (Gedney Association) spoke about the Gedney Association’s plan to organize residents in opposition to FASNY.
  • Bob Meyerson (Haviland Manor) spoke about the German School’s proposal to increase the size of their student body from 200-500.
  • Mary Merenda (Fisher Hill) spoke about the 22,000 square foot expansion of the Salvation Army building along Post Road.
  • Ken Crystal (Carhart) spoke about the concerns of the neighborhood in regard to the conversion of The Nathan Miller Home by Sunrise to a drug treatment facility.

The Nominating Committee of Jesse Crell and Reina Kaplow made the following nominations, which were unanimously accepted:
Todd Gordon and Bob Meyerson for Co-Presidents
Howard Waldman for Vice President
Dorothy Schere for Secretary
Joel Rudikoff for Treasurer.
